Middlesex County to receive $11.24 million to improve county roads and bridges

Middlesex County will receive $11.24 million in Fiscal Year 2023 County Aid for improvements to county roads and bridges.

“The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) continues its efforts to support communities in delivering safe, efficient, and equitable transportation systems throughout the state,” NJDOT Commissioner Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti said.

“County Aid provides millions of dollars for investment in local infrastructure, improving county roads and bridges without burdening local property taxpayers.”

The County Aid program is funded through the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund.

The funds will help maintain roads and bridges under county jurisdiction in a state of good repair for the thousands of motorists relying on them daily.
